History of the PKD Golf Tournament

The Annual Find a Cure for PKD Charity Golf Tournament was started in August of 2005 by Daniel Heffelfinger after he witnessed his grandfather, Frank Ivey, die of the deadly disease in 1989, and his mother and sister had been diagnosed with PKD in 1998 and 2000, respectively. The tournament was established in hope of increasing awareness and to raise funds for research.

Each of the previous six tournaments yielded nearly 100 golfers and the event has generated $65,000 in cumulative net proceeds to the PKD Foundation. This year we hope to continue the success and raise another $20,000 in the 7th Annual Tournament.
